Christy Moore (Self-titled): While some of these songs are remakes of songs he had done earlier, this album was the first introduction to his music that many people had ever had. Even as partly old and partly new, this is a brilliant album/5(11).
He has been a long time songwriter and collaborator with Christy Moore, with Christy first covering Wallys song ‘Biko Drum’ on his album ‘Unfinished Revolution’ in Since then Wally has worked with Christy Moore in songwriting, touring and featured in Christys TV documentary series ‘A Life In Song’.
Jul 14, · was the album after the one that Cry Like A Man appeared on where Christy covered the work of both Joni Mitchell and Natalie Merchant, I believe. It lifted me to see the work of these female writers added to his repertoire, along with the revived rendition of Burning Times. I love Biko Drum. It's one of Christy's finest vocal performances.

Unfinished Revolution is a great album but not one with a slew of hits. As the title suggests, it is a collection of conscience-tweaking songs. "Biko Drum," written by Wally Page, recalls the South African struggle and in particular that of Steve Biko -- "Steve is living in a prison cell, all the friends that know hope he's doing well.".
